Inline Lever/Lever
A lever or lever door handle is a contemporary handle that can be put in on new or replacement doors. This kind of handle is available in many styles and finishes. A number of manufacturers make this type of handle, including Avocet ERA, Fullex, Hoppe, Mila, Millenco & Yale.
Fab and Fix Windsor Inline Sprung Lever Door Handle
The uPVC/Composite door handles are constructed of durable materials and are ideal for multi-point lock doors that require a strong design. The handles are inline and they utilize the same screws and spindle to fix them. They can be easily mounted on new or existing uPVC/Composite door.
The handle can be adjusted and angled to suit the needs of all users. The handle has been tested to 200,000 cycles. This helps to ensure that the finish is of high quality and performance is maintained over time. The lever that springs is adjustable to fit a broad range of locks. This is particularly useful for narrower door frames in which the cylinder is further back. A lever that is shorter can be used on doors with latches that can be activated with the thumb located on the inside.
Lever Pad

A Lever Pad door handle made of upvc operates differently from lever-type handles on doors. These handles are operated by one spindle or two spindles inline or offset. They are usually employed on UPVC doors with double glazing. They come in a variety of finishes & variations.
The handles have been tested to at least 200,000 cycles and are available in several finishes including White Silver, Chrome, & Gold. The finish is BS EN 1670 Grade 5 and is resistant to corrosion. This provides the handle with an outstanding performance and durability to serve its intended use.
All UPVC levers for handles include a spindle and screws and can be installed on the uPVC door. The backplate fixing centers of 211mm allow for a larger size of handle which is often a benefit when replacing a faulty or worn multi-point door lock mechanism. The handle levers come with a spring, which solves the problem of door handles that move out of the horizontal position when not being used.
When choosing a replacement UPVC handle and spindle, it is essential to match the PZ dimensions of the multipoint lock as well as the uPVC door. This measurement can also be called 'handle centre or cylinder centres'. It is important to match the correct handles.
After you have determined the proper PZ size and the correct PZ size, you must make sure that the lever and push pads are designed to fit the American with Disabilities Act compliant handles that you need for your door. These are typically rectangular or round in shape, with an internal lever as well as an external push pad.
The majority of UPVC Lever Pads we sell are sprung. This means they return to a horizontal position after not being used instead of hanging, and possibly being stuck in the frame. This stops draughts and cold air from getting into a house. It is also the case that the majority of the UPVC lever pad handles are swivel which allows you to place them on either side of the door.
Euro Cylinder
Cylinder locks can be found on uPVC and other kinds of doors. The cylinder lock operates by a key which unlocks the cylinder case. The case is then able to reveal pins that can be aligned to the pins in the lock, and permit them to rotate the revolving camera, opening the door. door handle replacement braintree are available with up to six pins. Internal and external doors require different levels of security.
The choice of cylinder is essential. It depends on the use that your doors and handles receive. External doors, for instance are required to be fitted with cylinders that are more secure, whereas doors inside can be secured using a standard cylinder. Certain cylinders are equipped with additional features that can increase security, such as anti-drill or anti bump properties.
To ensure that the euro cylinder is the right size for your door, it should be measured accurately. The cylinder should be measured from the screw hole in the center to the ends of the cylinder. This includes the thumb turn, if there is one. It is recommended to do this while the lock is in place however if this is not possible, you can remove it to measure. A cylinder that is protruding beyond the handle and escutcheon might be susceptible to attacks like snapping locks, therefore it is important that it is not too long.
The design of the latest cylinders has anti-drilling and bump resistance features. These are designed to reduce attack chances by forcing the cylinders to rotate in a new direction. This helps prevent attacks and keep your doors safe.
There are cylinders that have been constructed to resist snapping. This is a common attack on cylinders. A specially designed tool is used to break the break line of the lock and then the front of cylinder is snapped off. This is a much faster and simpler method to gain access than using the use of a multipoint locking system. It also leaves less evidence of the break-in which could delay insurance claims.
Spring Cassette
The spring cassette is situated within the base plate of the door handle. It provides a sprung solution to help return your multipoint lock handles to their resting position after use. The handles had no spring, and would slide when the locking mechanism was disengaged. This simple component is the most effective way to fix this problem. It also prevents your door from becoming stuck in either the open or closed position as they aren't easy to close manually.
These spring cassettes are specifically designed for use with sprung multipoint locks They will not work with unsprung multipoint handles and you will require a custom hole cut into the backplate to allow them to fit (please check the image for a technical diagram). They are a replacement for broken or missing cassettes within the backplate of the door handle for many brands of uPVC doors. They are available as a single unit. They come with a square cut out that accommodates an 8mm shaft.
These spring cassettes are a great value solution to the issue of sagging door handles. They are simple to install and will extend the life span of your uPVC doors.
